Florida International Sleep School Partners With AET
The Florida International Sleep School is pleased to announce its recent partnership with telemedicine pioneer American Educational Telecommunications (AET). This collaboration between the school and a leading provider of internet telecommunication solutions will open up a new era of polysomnography education.
In the schools classroom at Sleep Management Centers, students can now take advantage of receiving live course lectures from sleep
professionals from around the world. Within this virtual setting, students can visually communicate with the presenter just as if
they were giving the lecture in the same classroom.
Dr. Keith Vrbicky, CEO of AET stated "this is an exciting new opportunity for us to be involved in the growing field of sleep education.
Our experience in telemedicine services will allow the school to offer worldwide, real time, crystal clear lectures over a secure,
encrypted internet connection."
Andrea Clark, the schools Educational Director, said "this technology will open up a whole new dimension to the typical classroom experience.
It allows us to virtually bring in guest lecturers from around the world to speak on topics they are experts in."
Linda Webster, a Virtual Instructor, commented "this is a wonderful opportunity for the students to virtually meet and talk with
faculty members they normally would not get a chance to do. It also allows me to create a classroom experience that becomes a great learning environment."
Debbie Bland, the Assistant Director of Education, said "I have attended a number of good sleep schools in this country but never experienced such a dynamic
learning environment where students can actually communicate with leaders in the sleep field as if they were standing in the classroom."
Dr. Winni Hofman, the schools Virtual Educational Director, said "I am excited to be involved with a group of professionals dedicated to providing
such a high level of education. Our students will receive lectures from a variety of instructors that specialize in different areas of sleep medicine."
Dr. Debra Stultz, Virtual Instructor, stated that "this is a very unique teaching situation for me to instruct insomnia courses live and meet
students virtually that I would normally not have the opportunity to."
