 Simone Litsch, MD
Dr. Simone Litsch will be joining the practice in July as Medical Director.
After receiving an undergraduate degree in law at the University of Frankfurt in Germany she completed her medical degree
in 2001 at University of Freiburg also in Germany. Dr. Litsch completed her residency training in Psychiatry in 2006 at
Duke University, Durham, North Carolina and in 2007 completed fellowship training in sleep medicine at the University of
Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Litsch was board certified in Psychiatry in 2008 and board certified in Sleep Medicine
in 2010. She was a visiting scholar at Stanford University Medical School, Department of Psychiatry instructing research
on sleep apnea and cognition. Dr. Litsch has performed postdoctoral research in quantitative analysis of REM sleep
behavior disorders and spectral analysis in relaxation therapy in insomniacs. She has also published her research
work in noted medical journals and presented research topics at medical conferences on dream interpretation, effects
of alcohol on sleep and relaxation therapy for insomnia.
